Why Did I Start Ajo Angels?

After about 8 years of traveling internationally, seeing different continents and countries, I realized something profound - Black folks face the same struggles everywhere. We're usually poorer, living in rougher neighborhoods, and tend to be at the mercy of 'the powers that be'. I'm convinced that improving our collective economic situation is the key to changing our lives for the better.

Some of us understand investing basics - saving money, passive income, investing in stocks, mutual funds and 401ks. Some of us even have a rental property or two. All solid but basic ways to build wealth. But the truth is, most of us aren't doing any of this on a scale big enough to create life-changing wealth or close the growing wealth gap.

That's why I'm suggesting a completely different asset class to achieve the life-changing wealth many of us are seeking - one that gives us more control over our individual and collective circumstances. I created Ajo Angels to help us not just build wealth together as a community, but to actively close the wealth gap.
